Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

I use EMDR to help your system gently process painful memories so they no longer carry the same weight. It draws on your natural internal wisdom to soften emotional distress and move toward a sense of quiet clarity and calm.

Trauma Informed CBT

Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) recognizes that difficult thoughts, emotions, and behaviours often make sense in the context of what you have experienced. Rather than simply trying to change your thoughts, we explore how trauma, stress, relationships, and patterns of coping may be shaping the way you experience yourself and the world around you.

I recognize that every individual requires a unique path to recovery. In our virtual and in-person sessions, I draw upon varied therapeutic tools for adults 18+ to help you process trauma, regulate your nervous system, and return to your true self.

Therapeutic Approaches

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)

I use DBR to access the very beginning of a trauma response, helping your nervous system release deep shocks at a cellular level. This gentle method can effectively quiet overwhelm and restore inner stillness.

Attachment Focused Therapy

Attachment-Focused Therapy explores how our experiences can shape the way we experience closeness, trust, safety, and connection. It can help you recognize patterns such as difficulty trusting, fear of rejection, people-pleasing, emotional distance, or challenges with boundaries, while understanding the needs and protective responses underneath them. Together, we work toward greater security, self-understanding, and more fulfilling ways of connecting with yourself and others.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use IFS to help you get to know the different sides of your internal world—like the voice that judges or the part that protects. By meeting these parts with kindness, we can quiet inner conflict and help you feel more balanced, calm, and whole.

Clinical Hypnosis

Clinical Hypnosis is a therapeutic approach that uses focused attention and deep relaxation to help you access new perspectives, strengthen helpful patterns, and support meaningful change. It can be helpful for working with anxiety, stress, habits, emotional responses, and other patterns that may feel difficult to shift through conscious effort alone. The process is collaborative and guided, while you remain aware and in control throughout the session.

My Approach: Beyond the Modality

Your experiences are unique, and therapy should be too. I draw from several trauma-focused approaches, integrating EMDR, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) based on what feels most supportive for you.

Our work may focus on processing difficult experiences, understanding patterns in relationships, reconnecting with your body, or developing a greater sense of safety and choice. We move at a pace that respects your nervous system and your capacity for change.

What You Can Expect From Therapy

A Safe, Collaborative Space

Therapy is something we navigate together. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin.

Working at Your Pace

Trauma therapy isn't about forcing yourself to revisit experiences before you're ready. We build stability and resources alongside deeper processing.

Understanding the Whole You

We consider your thoughts, emotions, body, nervous system, relationships, and the experiences that have shaped you.

A Personalized Approach

There isn't one technique that works for everyone. Your treatment is adapted to your needs, goals, and readiness.
