Trauma-Informed CBT

Trauma-Informed CBT can be helpful if you find yourself feeling stuck in patterns of anxiety, worry, self-criticism, avoidance, or emotional overwhelm. It helps you understand why you may respond to certain situations the way you do and gives you practical tools to feel more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and reactions.
Together, we gently identify patterns that may no longer be serving you and develop practical tools to support emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, build self-compassion, and create more helpful ways of responding. The work is paced with your sense of safety in mind, so that change happens without feeling overwhelming or invalidating what you have been through.

When Could Trauma-Informed CBT be Helpful?
Trauma-Informed CBT may be helpful when past experiences continue to affect how you feel, think, or respond in everyday life. You might find yourself:
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or constantly on edge
Avoiding situations, conversations, or reminders that feel difficult
Struggling to manage strong emotions or reactions
Knowing logically that you are safe, but still feeling afraid or triggered
Wanting practical tools to better manage what you are experiencing
Trauma-Informed CBT can offer a practical and compassionate way to understand the connection between your experiences, thoughts, emotions, and responses. In our work together, I can help you make sense of these patterns, build tools that feel manageable and relevant to your life, and gradually develop new ways of responding without losing sight of the experiences that shaped you.
